Smudging
Smudging is a technique that has been used by many Aboriginal cultures around the world and North American Indians, as a tribal ritual for centuries.
Using the loose leaf in a bowl is the ancient smudging technique used by medicine men since before recorded history.
Smudge sticks are easy to hold in the hand and bring the smoke to specific locations or vantage points to clear negative energies, to cleanse healing rooms, crystals, residential and business spaces.
To use, you can light the stick, blow the flame out, the leaves will smoulder, move around the area you wish to clear, or move your crystals through the smoke. Have a bowl of sand handy to extinguish the stick after use. Alternatively, you can break some leaves away, place in a wooden or other heat proof dish and light a few leaves only, again using the smoke to clear the space.
Take care not to drop any ash.
The smoke has srong transformative powers and quickly clears and uplifts the energy in the area being cleansed.
